Ingredients
2 cups cooked pasta (from standard ingredients)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (any available variety)
1 egg
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
vegetable oil for deep frying
Instructions
1. Combine cooked pasta and shredded cheese in a bowl and mix until the pasta is well coated with cheese.
2. Form the pasta into small, compact balls.
3. Beat the egg in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with salt and pepper.
4. Dip each pasta ball into the beaten egg, then roll in the flour mixture until coated.
5. Roll the coated pasta balls in breadcrumbs.
6. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
7. Fry the pasta balls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
8. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
9. Serve hot and enjoy as a snack or appetizer.
